For communication to ATC, it lowers the stress level for air traffic controllers. By taking this trim stress off of ATC, this will unbuttoned up the development of new applied science in the near future. I am sure for the aged pilots, it will eventually grow on them. The changes are being made globally and maybe the concerns will diminish into not hing.
